Why is it that time seems to be simultaneously racing ahead and not moving at all? My wife and I got our ballots in this week. Oregon has been voting by mail for years. We had reviewed the Voters Pamphlet and made our decisions so that as soon as the ballots arrived, we could mark them up and return them as quickly as possible. We did just that. The day they arrived we got them marked, signed, and sealed. The next day I drove them to the county elections office and dropped them in the box. We didn’t want to trust them to the mail or any neighborhood drop box. Yay, glad that is done! That relieves a bit of the angst.
